Women
empowered
Women Empowerment are taken place around the world.
At MGES Agra, we believe in the power of women to drive change. Through our women empowerment initiatives, we equip women with the skills, resources, and opportunities they need to become leaders in their communities.
Since our inception, we've supported over 100 Self-Help Groups (SHGs), empowering more than 2,500 rural women. These groups provide a platform for women to share experiences, access microfinance, and start businesses in areas like spice grinding, papad making, and jam production. Collectively, they are fueling diverse entrepreneurial activities through credit involvement
Education
Our vocational training programs cover food processing, textiles, and retail management, offering women hands-on skills to achieve economic independence. Financial literacy is a cornerstone of our approach—over 3,000 women have opened bank accounts after gaining essential knowledge on saving, budgeting, and investment.
Beyond economics, we have supported many women-led enterprises at Block and Cluster levels, giving women a collective voice against exploitation and promoting active participation in community decision-making.
Through our unwavering commitment to women empowerment, we are not only transforming lives but also paving the way for a more equitable and just society. MGES Agra continues to innovate and expand its programs, ensuring that every woman has the opportunity to reach her full potential and contribute to the growth and development of her community.
Success stories abound: from running spice businesses, papad production units, pickle making, chips making to managing local shops, our SHG members are becoming thriving entrepreneurs and role models in their communities.
